Aguaje (Mauritia flexuosa) also known as the moriche palm or buriti, is a palm tree. It grows in and near wet areas in tropical South America. It is an elegant tree which can reach up to 35 metres in height. The large leaves form a rounded crown. The flowers are yellowish, and appear from December to April. The fruit, which grows from December to June, is a chestnut colour and is covered with shiny scales. The yellow flesh covers a hard, oval, nut.
The most valuable asset of Aguaje is its fruit which is rich in Phytoestrogens, vitamins, and minerals that enhance the internal and external health of your body, skin and hair. The main components are:
- Beta Carotene (provitamin A) 20 times more provitamin A than carrot.
- Tocopherols (vitamin E) 25 times more vitamin E than avocado.
- Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) same vitamin C as an orange
It also contains phytoestrogens and oleic acids which are important in human nutrition, especially in women throughout their life and especially at menopause.
Minvita Aguaje Superfruit Powder is 100% natural Aguaje fruit pulp. It contains no artificial ingredients and is just as nature intended.
