Recipe

In our last Smoothie Saturday recipe we introduced you to smoothie bowls, so we’re continuing with the theme and showing you a more ‘advanced’ version of the recipe – as we mentioned last week the possibilities are endless and you can add whichever superfood powders and toppings that you like – here, we’ve opted for our Acai Berry Superfood Powder and a variety of different wholesome and nutritious toppings, ranging from seeds to fruit to nuts. Give it a whirl!

1. Take a couple of frozen blackberries and raspberries and place them to the side to use for the topping later on, then blast all of the ingredients listed under ‘Smoothie’ in your blender until smooth and creamy, chopping the frozen banana beforehand for easier blending. Freezing your ingredients beforehand allows you to create a thicker smoothie and ensures your toppings don’t sink!

2. Carefully pour the smoothie into a bowl and smooth out the surface with the bottom of a spoon

3. For the topping, chop your kiwi and arrange in a pattern across the top of the smoothie. Place the frozen blackberries and raspberries that you saved from Step 1 and alternate them between the slices of kiwi. Scatter the rest of the ingredients in any way you like across the rest of the bowl and enjoy!
