Indulgently Rich Cacao Nib Brownies - The Naughty Version
Ingredients
100g Minvita Cacao Superfood Nibs185g unsalted butter
3 large eggs
185g dark chocolate (70%+ cocao is best!)
85g plain flour
40g cocoa powder
275g golden caster sugar
Recipe
Chocolate brownies are one of our all-time favourite indulgences – aren’t they everyone’s? – so we’ve compiled our best brownie recipe especially for you! We’re sure you’ll love and enjoy them just as much as us, as they have the amazing added ingredient of our 100% natural Cacao Superfood Nibs If you’re feeling devilish and nothing but the real thing will cut it, read and bake on…
1. Preheat oven to 190°C
2. Place your unsalted butter (cubed) and dark chocolate (broken into pieces) into a large bowl and position over a saucepan of hot water, melting the two together by stirring occasionally. Be sure to do this slowly and gently, then allow the mixture to cool
3. Sieve your flour and cocoa powder into a separate bowl to ensure there are no lumps
4. Combine your eggs, sugar and flour in a large bowl until the mixture is thick, smooth and creamy – the easiest and quickest way to do this is by using an electric mixer
5. Making sure that it’s properly cooled, take your melted chocolate and pour over the egg, flour and sugar mixture then carefully fold together, preferably using a spatula
6. You can skip this step if you’re in a hurry, but we like to sieve our flour and cocoa powder again before adding into the mixture. Fold together then add your Minvita Cacao Superfood Nibs, stirring quickly into the mixture to avoid over-mixing
7. Pour the thick brownie mixture into a lined baking tray and pop into the oven for 20-25 minutes
8. Once your timer has gone off, check the brownies with a cake tester to ensure they’re fully cooked. They should look all gooey and delicious, and shouldn’t wobble in the middle – if they do, place them back into the oven for a further five minutes
9. Once cool, cut into your desired shape – we love a classic square brownie – and enjoy!
Tip: Why not top your cacao nib brownies with peanut butter? Alternatively, add in chunks of white or milk chocolate at the end of Step 6 for an even more chocolatey, decadent and naughty brownie.
